HISI for Healthcare and Facilities

HISI Group

Italy's leading network in hospital PPPs

Leaders in Project Financing

Industry leader in the implementation and management of public infrastructure projects

HISI Srl collaborates with private companies and highly qualified partners to ensure a service that bridges the infrastructure gap and brings value for its stakeholders. That is why it has chosen public-private partnership as its tool of choice. Due to its peculiar positioning and way of doing business, HISI can be considered as:

  • Financial vehicle for long-term investment in special purpose vehicles

  • Developer in project financing initiatives;

  • Responsible for and coordinator of O&M services.

In its constant search for growth opportunities, it is constantly evaluating participation in Tenders for new Hospital PPP Concessions, as well as negotiating with several Concessionaires in Italy to acquire stakes in Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) and related Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Management Companies.
As a result of the new acquisitions, F2i/HISI stands , as one of the most important players in the hospital PPP sector in Italy

Time and cost certainty

Why Project Financing

The need for greater involvement of private capital and expertise to support infrastructure financing, through specific alternative finance instruments such as Project Financing Concessions, stems from the clear disproportion in Italy between public funding made available and infrastructure needs. Project Financing is a form of financing public works that is based on the use of both public and private resources. It is a mode widely used in all Western countries and appropriately regulated in the European context as well. It makes it possible to build public infrastructure with certain timeframes thanks to the help of private parties, including for design activities. The great advantage of this modus operandi is that it greatly reduces the construction time and makes the operation cost of the infrastructure certain.

  • Mapping of Significant Impacts to identify the most relevant sustainability issues with respect to the environment, people and the economy. This activity focused on the positive and negative impacts resulting from the activities carried out, including by the contracting companies in the context of convention management.

  • Formalization of the ESG Policy: a document that establishes key principles and guidelines with reference to environmental, social and economic issues and defines goals and actions to support sustainable development.

  • Sustainability Plan: communicates to stakeholders the overall short-, medium- and long-term vision and strategy regarding significant economic, environmental and social impacts.

  • Integrating Sustainability into Our Operations: as a company HISI supports healthcare facilities andmakes the management of citizen services more effective. This presupposes the need to look at business not only with an economic-financial logic but also to take into account issues of social responsibility.
